  1. Press or iron the outfit you will be wearing during the interview.

  2. Have a little starch in your dress shirt.

  3. If you are a smoker, be conscious of giving off a strong smell of smoke.

  4. Remember to spit out your gum prior to the interview.

  5. Too much cologne / perfume can be very offensive.

  6. Get a hair cut the day before your interview.

  7. Shoes should be shined.

  8. Please make sure your clothes fit. A new suit with sleeves that are too long negates the positive impression of the new suit.

  9. Carry a small portfolio or folder with blank paper for notes.

  10. Clean your glasses.

  11. Remove any pen or pencil in your shirt pocket.

  12. Wear conservative jewelry.

  13. Make sure the knot in your tie is crisp and always button the top button on your shirt .
